Introducing the DrupalPod AI QA Browser Extension

Drupal AI is evolving incredibly quickly. New ideas, new functionality, new workflows, and new issues to test! The pace of innovation across the Drupal AI ecosystem has been genuinely exciting to be directly involved with, but keeping that momentum going requires more than just developers writing code. It needs a wider community effort, with contributors, testers, site builders, project managers, and curious Drupal users all able to participate in shaping what comes next.

The issue

Testing Drupal AI issues can be difficult if you’re not deeply technical. Reproducing an issue often means setting up the right Drupal version, installing the correct modules, configuring dependencies, checking out the right branch, and making sure everything matches the original environment. In addition, you often have to set up the LAMP stack in the first place, something we’ve mitigated by our tool being cloud based.

Essentially, for many people who want to get stuck in, that setup process becomes a barrier before testing has even started.

We took DrupalPod and plugged in Drupal CMS and AI. Any version, any module.

Powered by DrupalForge, DrupalPod AI QA - and its companion browser extension - lets you spin up issue-ready Drupal environments in just a few clicks.. It makes it dramatically easier for anyone to review and test Drupal AI issues without needing advanced development setup knowledge. Instead of wrestling with local environments and configuration, the extension allows you to quickly launch a test-ready Drupal environment configured specifically for the issue you’re reviewing.

The right code, the right versions, the right setup, all ready to test in minutes.

Lowering the barrier to contribution

One of the biggest opportunities in the Drupal AI ecosystem right now is enabling more people to get involved in testing and feedback. Developers are often busy building features and fixing bugs. But high-quality QA, regression testing, and issue verification are just as important to the long-term success of the ecosystem.

The extension is designed to make issue testing accessible to a much broader audience, including:

  • QA specialists
  • Site builders
  • Product owners
  • Project managers
  • Drupal users who want to contribute back
  • Anyone curious enough to help improve Drupal AI

Faster feedback loops without compromising quality

Good QA takes time. But environment setup shouldn’t be the thing slowing it down.

By removing much of the friction involved in recreating issue environments, the DrupalPod AI QA tool helps accelerate the feedback loop across Drupal AI development.

That means faster issue validation, community feedback and ultimately faster iteration on AI features.

Most importantly, it helps improve quality without cutting corners. The easier it is for people to test issues properly, the more testing happens. And the more testing happens, the stronger and more reliable Drupal AI becomes.

Built for the community

At Zoocha, we strongly believe that Drupal’s strength comes from its community, which is why we’re now the top contributor to Drupal in the UK, and our QA Manager, Bruna Emerich, leads the QA team at the Drupal AI Initiative. The rapid progress happening across Drupal AI is a great example of what open collaboration can achieve.

Tools like the DrupalPod AI QA Browser Extension are about enabling more people to participate meaningfully in that process. The future of Drupal AI will be shaped by an entire community testing, experimenting, reviewing, improving, and contributing together. And hopefully, this extension makes that just a little bit easier!
