Zoocha is seeking a mid-level QA Engineer to bolster our technical team, responding to the increasing demand for our Drupal web development services.

Our ideal candidate comes with experience in manual functional testing, usability testing focused on website frontends, and ideally awareness of the Drupal ecosystem. Knowledge in accessibility testing would also be an advantage.

Your remit

As a mid-level QA Engineer at Zoocha, your responsibilities extend beyond mere testing. You will be actively involved throughout the development cycle, understanding prioritized tickets, and proactively raising test scenarios. Your role includes predicting impacts, analysing risks, and disseminating knowledge about quality and software testing to both developers and the QA team. Additionally, you will participate in Scrum meetings, often with clients' involvement.

In your capacity as a QA Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to provide comprehensive test notes and detailed documentation to our customers. You will also support your QA colleagues and developers.

By working closely with teams that include a QA Manager, a Delivery Manager, and QA and DevOps experts, you will guide projects to successful completion ensuring efficiency to minimize errors, improve recovery rates, and strengthen customer relationships.

 

Your experience also includes:

  • +2 years of experience in manual testing
  • Knowledge of Drupal and its ecosystem would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, with the ability to actively contribute and collaborate in each stage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong skills in writing documentation and testing instructions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Understanding of the concept of software quality, covering its fundamentals, standards and best practices
  • Understanding how the software development flow works and the role of QA in each stage of this flow
  • Experience in manual functional testing
  • Experience in testing techniques
  • Experience writing test cases
  • Strong skills in writing documentation and customer testing instructions
  • Experience in testing for web platforms
  • Experience with tests developed with Drupal will be an advantage
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with different teams across the organisation
  • Managing time efficiently, especially when meeting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

     

Expectations

This role can be hybrid or fully remote.

 

Mandatory requirements:

  • Experience in manual functional testing.
  • Experience in testing for web platforms.
  • Based in the Brazil.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
