Carbon Neutral

ISO 14001
How are our emissions calculated?
Carbon Neutral Britain use GHGs to measure the gases that occur as a result of business activities with the highest global warming potential.
Using data provided by our team that mapped to the various areas of our business operation, GHGs were able to be calculated in accordance with ISO 14064 reporting standards.
Using the two most widely recognised emission standards in the world ensured that our offsetting would be completed to the most regulated standards possible.
Carbon Offsetting
Zoocha have offset our 2024 emissions against projects that are certified via the Verra - Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the Gold Standard - Voluntary Emission Reductions (VER) or the United Nations - Certified Emission Reductions (CER).
These projects include:
- Wind Power in Karnataka
- Household Solar Lighting in Zambia
- Elazig Solar Farm in Turkey
- Salkhit Wind Farm in Mongolia

In order to achieve a 50% reduction in emissions by 2030, Zoocha is required to reduce its emissions by 136.09 tCO2e from the ‘Baseline’ (first year) assessment by 2030. This will require a reduction of 7.14% (16.86 tCO2e) per year from the 'Baseline' (first year) assessment of the organisation. A further reduction of 2.5% (5.90 tCO2e) each year is then required in order to achieve Net Zero.
As part of our Carbon Reduction Plan, Zoocha have engaged in a series of initiatives targeting our two areas of greatest emissions, looking at the physical space that we occupy and impact of activities related to our business operations (e.g. travel and events).
On average, a SME business in the UK can expect to produce 3.7.tCO2 per year per employee, at present, we are tracking at 2.8tCO2 per employee.
