Since launching in 2009, Zoocha has grown steadily, winning clients such as the United Nations, British Tourist Authority and The Financial Conduct Authority along with a range of charities and retailers. We are now looking to expand our technical team with a DevOps/SysAdmin Engineer. Zoocha’s technical team specialise in Drupal development and has particular expertise in building e-commerce and multi-lingual content websites, but we also create bespoke applications using a variety of technologies and API’s. All of Zoocha’s websites and platforms are hosted on Linux based environments, with the vast majority of which being on AWS.

Your typical day might include:

  • Build cross-functional relationships with senior Zoocha and client team members
  • Communicate technical issues and decisions to colleagues and clients
  • Ensuring documentation exists for all important infrastructure and devops systems on a project
  • Creating and maintaining documentation that contributes to our ISO certifications
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Proactive maintenance across systems
  • Handle escalated issues that require sysadmin / devops skills
  • Estimate methodically and accurately based on iterative learning
  • Debug issues to help establish root causes
  • Building out and managing infrastructure 
  • Ensuring smooth project launches and releases

You’re good at;  

  • You posses a logical and analytical approach to problem solving 
  • You can communicate and collaborate with others 
  • Spotting problems before they happen
  • Keeping systems secure

Your experience includes;

  • You have 3+ years of experience in the field
  • You have knowledge and experience with AWS (or similar such as Azure or Google Cloud), Linux, and a scripting programming language (e.g. PHP)
  • You have knowledge of Cloudflare, NGINX/Apache, Jenkins and Terraform (IaC: Infrastructure as Code)
  • You have intermediate/advanced English
